There’s no real reason for this. I just had an idea so I made the image.

Rejected! 42 day detention plans
In a rare victory for both common sense and democracy, the House of Lords has rejected the Government’s bill to allow people suspected of terrorist activities to be detained for up to 42 days without charge. It’s a sad day when the unelected house of Parliament is the one to be the voice of reason and democracy. It’s also a little ironic
It means the bill will now be quietly dropped so the country can forget that Gordon Brown and Jacqui Smith were, apparently, the only people in the country who didn’t realise their plan was not only dangerous but also slightly illegal (The UK is a member of the European convention on Human Rights, as enacted in the 1998 Human Rights Act)
A notable Peers who opposed the bill was Lord Falconer, a Labour Peer and former Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor (until 2005 the head of the Judiciary in England and Wales) – a man who should know a thing or two about the legal system.
